4. In practice, the hand wheel of the microtome can be rolled with the right hand, and the wax sheet can be held up with the brush with the left hand to coordinate the slicing operation.

5, the hand wheel of the swinging slicer first trims the slice until the complete arranged section is cut, and then cut.

6. Adjust slice thickness as needed.

Note:

1, the quality of the slice is good or bad, in addition to the skill proficiency and the quality of the slicer, the slicing knife is the deciding factor, so the knife must be sharpened very sharp. Otherwise, it will roll up or wrinkle itself in the slice, or the arrangement of scratches will appear knife marks, and it is not possible to smoothly cut the slice into a continuous strip. If there is a gap in the slicing knife, the section made will be broken, broken, incomplete, and the knife edge should be wiped when slicing.

2, in the swing slicing machine, the force is required to be uniform, should not be too heavy or too fierce, otherwise it can cause the fuselage to stir due to excessive force, forming the uneven thickness of the slice. In the case of excessive hardening of the brain, liver, spleen and other arrangements, it should be gently cut to prevent the arrangement from forming a hollow phenomenon due to sensation.

3, the various parts and screws of the slicer should be tightened, otherwise there will be a sensation. When replacing the wax block each time, it should be customary to check whether the arrangement block is clamped, whether the slicing knife is stable, a little neglect will affect the quality of the slice, and even cut the wax block in full, forming irreparable results. In the beginning of the cutting stage, if there are poor cutting and other problems, the common reason is caused by the loosening of the wax block or the slicing knife.

4, when slicing in summer and autumn, ice should be used to strengthen cooling, which can not only adhere to the hardness of paraffin, but also reduce the fold of the section, which brings convenience to the section manufacturing.
